Terms of service

Stylo is a small, independently built planner. These terms are short because the arrangement is simple: you use it, what you write stays yours, and neither side promises the other very much.
Using it
You need a Google account to sign in. You are responsible for what happens under your account, so keep access to your email secure.
One account per person. Do not use Stylo to store anything illegal, to harass anyone, or to attack the service or the people using it.
What you write is yours
Everything you enter belongs to you. No ownership of it is claimed, it is not used to train anything, and it is not read except where you have explicitly shared a category with someone.
You can download all of it, or delete your account entirely, from Settings at any moment. See the privacy page for what is stored and where.
Households
An adult sets a household up and invites the others with a code. Being in one does not, by itself, let anyone see anything: every person chooses what to show, category by category and person by person, and everything starts off.
What you switch on is a choice you are making, and you can change or withdraw it at any time with immediate effect. Anyone you show something to should treat it with the care you would expect.
You can leave a household whenever you like. Your account and everything in it stays yours, and everyone else loses access the moment you go.
What is not promised
Stylo is provided as it is. It may be unavailable, it may lose data, and it may change or stop entirely. It is not a medical, educational or professional service, and it should not be the only place something important is written down.
Keep your own copy of anything you cannot afford to lose. The export button exists precisely for this, and using it occasionally is wise.
To the extent the law allows, no liability is accepted for any loss arising from using Stylo, including lost data or missed deadlines.
Ending it
You can delete your account whenever you like, from Settings. An account may be removed if it is being used to break these terms or to harm other people — with notice by email first where that is possible.
Changes
These terms may change. If they do, the date at the top changes, and anything materially different will be described rather than quietly replaced.
